- Sharing a taxi to the bus station with two polite, semi-attractive and probably gay Italians.
- Not having to pay for the taxi because the Italians are also gentlemen, who help with our luggage, as well.

In Berlin I had a Hungarian roommate named Andrea.  She told us to call her Andi, but for a while we just called her Hungary.  She was usually drunk, or drinking.  She could out-party the best of us, staying up for days at a time.  Before the trip to Dresden she stayed out all night, returning just before departure - 7 a.m.  She usually wasn't ( Read more... )

John and I are walking back to the hotel in Prague when we pass a relatively gorgeous guy.  He looks at me and I think he smiles. Wait, was he looking at me? I turn around to get another look before he turns the corner. To my surprise and delight he's looking back, too, and we hold eye contact. I smile. Desperate to see a movie that isn't silent, Marie and I decide to go see the Sex and the City movie at the Sony Center.  We buy a bottle of rum and juice from a convenience store at Potsdamer Platz.  First we drink by mixing the rum into the juice, and then by chasing the rum with the juice.  Finally, having finished the juice, we take turns ( Read more... )

Instead of spending another day in Prague, John, Gleb, Marie and I decide to take a one hour bus ride to check out the "bone church" in Kutná Hora.  The ride itself, while at times scenic, is constantly mildly terrifying. Our couchsurfing host in Krakow was a 26 year old tour guide named Pawel. Of the handful of times we couchsurfed this was by far the most interesting, if only for all the unforeseeable events

When we arrived at our stop we promptly telephoned Pawel. His phone was off.

We arrive in Copenhagen at 9 p.m.

Andy has allowed us to stay with him this week, saving us from impending homelessness. Except tonight we stay at the economy hotel where he works. This where we meet him, and he takes us for dinner and drinks.
