so i finally caved in and bought the new morrissey album. he's done it again. his honesty and eloquence and willingness to just be in the face of repression and ridicule have always amazed me. listening to it has inspired me to dig up his older albums, some with the smiths, some by himself. i was reading lyrics to cae last night over the phone ( Read more... )

Yay! :) When I saw the title to your post, I just knew it! :) Don't you love the cover of that album? I think Mozz is so much hotter now that he's older. He's just always had that older man look to him...like he just needed to grow into himself. :) I love love love him! *swooon*

morrissey makes me happy. very, very happy. i used to worship him when i was in high school. i would send pictures of him to my internet friends in hopes of drawing out the same fascination with him that i had. but usually it was just "you're weird." :/ i guess they were more into the trent reznor type. bah!

totally agreed that he's getting sexier! it's such a beautiful experience to find others who adore him. it's almost like a cult. we should have a secret handshake. moz lovers of the world unite and take over! (that was the "quote" in my aol profile back in '98 or so.. i was such a dork!)

Yes!! I love love love him!! I was so into The Smiths when I was a teenager. I swear, that band was MADE for teens---because every fucking song was the soundtrack of my life back then. Could there have been any more relevant and perfect song than "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now"?? The lyrics were so true then... and even now sometimes (though I'm much happier these days). And we'd have to have a secret Mozz club swoon or something, because we all do that more than we shake hands! :) *giggles*

"16, clumsy, and shy.. that's the story of my life."

that pretty much says it all :-)

i like this mozz club swoon idea. i'll start practising tonight! oh look, even my spelling's become british. i must be on the right path! hehe

i refer everyone here:

there's a load of information. if you ever find yourself wondering which albums to buy, ANY smiths album is worth it, especially meat is murder or the queen is dead. as far as his solo work goes, bona drag is by far his best, followed by vauxhall and i, your arsenal, and viva hate. well, just my opinions anyway. ^_~
