[Godric has been to their destination only once, and then merely for cursory reconnaissance. But he's only a deck away from it, and is FASTER THAN A SPEEDING BULLET - well, not on the Elegante, but he's at least faster than a speeding potato shot out of an airsoft gun.

He's in the temple! And no, he did not burst into flames on entry, thanks.]

[Godric nods to them in turn. In the presence of things so far removed from being human, there's no pretense to keep up. He stands unmoving, unblinking, and draws breath only to speak.]

[His voice is calmly neutral, but his words are a little more precise than normal. He sounds focused.]

I have asked you here for your assistance. As of right now, I've enough volunteers for three teams. Tactically, I would like to arrange each for versatility, mobility and inter-personnel compatibility.

[He pings the 'Bots on the comm with the candidates as they stand right now except pretend it's an organized, IC list! He's no intention of using all of them, however. He has some earmarked with an N/A stamp. Barricade is not one of them ( ... )

[Bumblebee is not happy about that name and he knows Ironhide will say something about it -probably with a lot more growling and possibly even a curse word or two- so he takes initiative with that.]

[And the next part of the message appears on Bumblebee's comm, which he politely holds out for Godric to take.]

Please take caution in dealing with Barricade. Back in our home universe he's ruthless and cutthroat, and has a habit of looking after himself before sticking his neck out for the sake of others, to say the very least. He is a member of a faction of our race that believes in the enslavement and extinction of what they perceive to be "lesser beings."

[His only response to the greeting is a trademark Ironhide grunt. Pretty words. He doesn't speak until Bumblebee finishes his text explanation, and then, predictably, it's with a growl.]

You want nothing to do with that pile of scrap metal. That traitor would sooner step on a human than he would protect them. Not trustworthy. I will not work with any punkass Decepticons. Hmnf!

[He glances over at Ratchet for a moment. It's a quick, head-jerk of a gesture.]

Ratchet is capable of leading a fire team. As is Bumblebee. I have... lead before. Provided you organics are willing to listen to me, and we understand that my comrades, my charges come first... I am... not against the idea.

[Actually, being 'Captain Ironhide' again sort of amuses him.]

[The medic remains silent as he goes over the lists, taking a mental note of who has been mentioned. There were several passengers he was not personally familiar with, but considering the time spent in his own quarters, it wasn't surprising.

Barricade's presence on the list was certainly noticed, but he got the distinct feeling the other two would cover that well enough.]

I would likely be better suited to a medical position, though I am capable of leading if necessary.

[Bumblebee just shoots a text off to the communicator in Godric's hand, which he can read at his leisure. He's sure Ironhide and Ratchet will need his attention first.

He'd rather not lead a team anyway. Too many bad memories.]

I think you're right. I'm satisfied with whatever position you'd like to assign to me.

You cannot believe their word. They are called Decepticons for a reason. Betrayal is in their basic code. You would be a fool to think of letting one of their kind serve.

[He's biased, he knows this. But after so many centuries of fighting them, after Megatron's betrayal, he refuses to trust them. Shockwave hadn't even been from his world, and he still refused the offered truce.]

I want King. He knows me. The rest... not picky. You know these people. Your volunteers. Whichever are more likely to listen to what they view as a machine.

[He snorts.]

I will not work with the tank creature either. It is irritating, and I prefer not to have to put my fists through my team.

[His turn to look at the other two. He dislikes being split up from them, one of them in particular... but they're both capable soldiers.]

I am not familiar with him, actually - But I do not see that it will be a problem.

[He cast a glance at the other two, frowning.]

I concur. Barricade's word does not mean much, particularly if he find somehow finds any personal gain in betraying us.

If you do choose to utilize him, it would be best that he is monitored closely. As I seem to have the least personal history with him, it may be best that I be on his team, out of the three of us.

[Don't be deprecating, Bee! Godric reads that text as it comes in, and nods to the 'Bot. The unit in which he's placing Bumblebee is the one he himself might lead, the other members pending. Ironhide's tirade, on the other hand, he ignores. They've both made their positions on the matter clear, no further discussion will alter that.]

King you have. He is a skilled man. I will speak with the prospectives, learn any who might harbour a bias.

[Tank creature. Tachikoma. At present, Godric has the robot listed in the reserves, but he's little inclination to use him. Anything that excitable and potentially dangerous has no purpose on a battlefield except as cannon fodder.

To the last, he nods. That Ratchet suggested it means he is confident he can take the Decepticon in a fight.]

I am meeting with him later. The outcome of that meeting will likely influence whether or not it's necessary.

Yeah, Ratchet is the best if you do decide to use Barricade. He and I have a history and Ironhide is...Ironhide, ha ha.

I do have another request, if it's possible; please, if you end up using a girl named Mikaela, please don't put her with Barricade. I would prefer she not be in danger at all, but that's not up to me. But she has a habit of being...outspoken, and Barricade has a habit of hurting outspoken people. It would be for her own good.

[With that, he growls out something unkind in Cybertronian, stomping away a pace or two.]

... Agree with Bumblebee. Keep Mikaela out of this. Put her on the "reserves".

[He fires an indignant look in Ironhide's direction, crossing his arms. He certainly did not want to have this argument in front of the others, not during a tactical meeting.

Then again, he had expected it.]

If anyone will be, I will. You do not need him antagonizing you, and he will have far more trouble getting a reaction from me.

Do not mistake this for trust - Simply the best strategy, as you are well aware.

[Had they not had an audience, he might have berated Ironhide further about allowing personal feelings to cloud his professional judgement - but that was for another time.]
