Ironhide, Ratchet, Bumblebee. I ask a moment of your time.

I reside in room 1212, on the like deck. If that is insufficient, we will meet at a place of your choosing.

tag is so applicable, it belongs in a museum!1!! (so do you)

[Godric has been to their destination only once, and then merely for cursory reconnaissance. But he's only a deck away from it, and is FASTER THAN A SPEEDING BULLET - well, not on the Elegante, but he's at least faster than a speeding potato shot out of an airsoft gun.

He's in the temple! And no, he did not burst into flames on entry, thanks.]

I will keep her in the reserves.

[A human woman, with no especial skills beyond being a mechanic will not turn the tide of a fight one way or another. Having met her, however, he thinks the difficulty may lie in getting her to listen.

The latter argument has gone beyond him. He says nothing, merely remains still.]

[Yeahhh, Bumblebee isn't getting in the middle of that fight either. He spares a glance at Godric before crouching down, car door wings falling in a sign of exasperation. He sympathized more with Ironhide than Ratchet, but he wasn't fool enough to consider himself an expert on Decepticon behavior with two of his elders standing right there.

Instead, he sends a text over to Godric and this time locks it from Ratchet and Ironide, wanting to keep it private.]

If I could have a word with you after our business has concluded I would greatly appreciate it, sir.

[He doesn't respond right away. His engine growls a few times, and his entire posture is one of general unhappiness with the situation. Personal feelings getting in the way... he knows it. He knew he wouldn't deal with this well.]

You fell in with Shockwave quick enough too. Remember this creature speaks more with its claws than he ever did.

Not strategy. Barricade will do anything he can to antagonize you. Putting the mission, the objective, in jeopardy, in favor of getting a reaction from you.

[And with that proclamation, he turns his back.]

Anything else?

[If Ratchet had been in any position to, he might have smacked Ironhide upside the head at that. 'Fell in with'? Agreeing to a truce in order to protect those aboard this vessel was hardly giving his approval to the Decepticon cause.

They had been at war so long, he didn't think he'd know what to do with himself should the conflict end - But it did not mean he was so blind as to think that their battle could continue here without bringing harm to others.]

I am well aware of Decepticon tendencies.

However, it would be foolish to assume that we can avoid his presence on this ship. I offered an option, should they feel his aid is necessary.

[He glances to Bumblebee, and makes the slightest gesture of acquiescence. It's filtered for a reason, after all. That argument he continues to Not Dwell On, choosing instead to answer Ironhide's question.]

No. You are free to go.

[Bumblebee hangs back and waits to see if Ironhide and Ratchet are too preoccupied with the desire to continue the argument behind closed doors to notice that he isn't following them out. He doesn't particularly MIND if they two of them know he's talking to Godric, he'd just rather do it alone and doesn't want to bother them with it.]

They should not require his aid. If he--[Ironhide jerks his head back toward Godric]--really wanted our opinion, he would be wise to listen to it.

I have nothing further to say. Contact me with my team, I will take it from there.

[He glances back at Bumblebee.]

You coming?

Hm.

[He's done talking about this. He turns to leave as well, assuming that the conversation is over.]

[Bumblebee waves for Ironhide to go ahead without him, a hand on his hip. He sends another encrypted text to his comm for Godric to read in the meantime.]

Thank you. I figured it would be easier for us to talk without them there; Ironhide can get very opinionated and Ratchet is just...well. Opinionated in a different way.

[Godric watches as the other autobots withdraw, and then turns his attention more fully to Bumblebee. He holds out one hand, palm-up, in a gesture meant to indicate that the 'bot should speak his mind.]

[Alrighty then.

Bumblebee waits until Ironhide and Ratchet head off with Godric, then has himself a seat on a stone altar in the temple, obviously uncaring of whether or not it's something that needs to be preserved.]

I'm trying to understand your motivations for forming these groups. I don't mean to be doubtful of the nature of your good will, but it seems like an awful lot of volunteer work to me.

[He studies the Autobot a moment, and then allows his attention to drift as he considers his answer. It's something that people have been asking of him lately, though the wording hasn't yet been twice the same. The core of his answer doesn't change, only the way in which he relays it ( ... )

[Godric looks like a teenager -and because of that, Bumblebee has to fight to quell the urge to reach over and ruffle his hair- but if it wasn't obvious before that Godric has seen -maybe done- a lot, it is now.

He tilts his head and makes a chittering sound at the joke, which can be interpreted as a laugh, acknowledgment, curiosity; any number of things.]

That's quite a sense of duty. Even amongst the long-lived, you don't see it very often. Though my understanding of millenia-old organics is extremely limited.

Are you trying to make up for something?

[There's a very slight pause, and Godric cants his head to one side.]

Not consciously. For everything I have done in my life, I have atoned as best I was able.

[And that atonement was certainly prompt in bringing him here.]

Do you know anything of vampires?

[Bumblebee wobbles his hand side to side in a "so-so" gesture. Eh.]

I know of all the information made available on my version of Earth. Not sure it'll completely coincide with yours.
