Midterm Elections 2010

Nov 01, 2010 16:14

Since most history geeks are often also political geeks, I've made this poll for you to predict the results of the Midterm elections for the House of Representatives tomorrow. All 435 seats are up for grabs. Currently the Democrats hold 256 seats and the GOP hold 179.

The reason that I have the options with the GOP numbers higher than the Democrats is not based on any bias, but rather based on predictions from some websites that I've found accurate in the past. For example, Real Clear Politics classifies 224 seats as safe for the GOP, 167 as safe for the Democrats and 44 up for grabs.

It's not my intention to provoke any debate between supporters of the two parties, only to see how good everyone is at crystal ball gazing. I'll close this poll at 8 p.m. tomorrow.
