Wow, that sounds like a mess.
Also, when Sakura was three, Nadeshiko was dying from an illness. Granted, Clamp has never given much detail, but I got the impression this was something she was fighting for a long time, so I doubt she was up to visiting London.

An amusing note, both Sakura's family and Lily's use flower naming themes.
