3167: Lydia Madon and the Weeping Pixie Wand repost - Lydia Mason

Here is day thirty-nine. I couldn't find a fic with a Tinkerbell, so I settled something related to her in some manner instead. That also said, it should be noted that Tinkerbell used to be one of the Disney princess. That also said, the writer admits that this one is bad, but posted it because... well, they explain it better in the author's note ( Read more... )

rating - awful, je - student (new to school)

The concept that the author in this case has thought up is rather interesting. However, I feel that the idea falls through as it is written out rather poorly. Sure, the writing is better and I find that I am rather fond of the idea and the way it is written- but the character seems rather annoying. I would expect a story of this nature to explore ideas of what a Squib can do- not only in the magical world but also in the muggle world. Just because you don't have magical ability doesn't mean that it is the end of the world- as a matter of fact most squibs are taught to integrate into the muggle world. According to JK Rowling almost all Squibs are placed in muggle schools to perfect their education and to prepare them for life without magic ( ... )

I honestly don't think it is possible to go from being a squib to no longer being one.

If you get around to writing the story (if you're still working on it or if it is finished), I would like to see what you've done. I wrote Lydia Mason as an idea because I was going to be too old for Hogwarts by the time it started, but the concept could have bee done better. If you go further into it, I would love to read it, as I love this concept as well. I just got into other fandoms to write for, and I got busy for writing longer fics anyway. Thanks for looking into the story, even if you hated it.

I was hoping someone from this blog would have found the story. I am somewhat disappointed no one left anything or told me it was here, as I had put something about you in the notes. Thanks for not being too harsh with the story. Written at 16 or 17, I knew when I posted the fic 6 years or so later it was cringe-worthy. So many parenthesis... *shudders* Anyway, thanks for taking a look.
