Okay.

I'm glad for the explanation - All this talk of 'she was straddling' made me think something entirely different has happened. It bothers me that Harry offers to clean the house as if to make peace - Canon Harry would have either been forced to or would have just stayed in his room.

Is this after DH?

It was written after Deathly Hallows, but it takes place between Harry's first and second year of Hogwarts. Of course, this doesn't stop Harry from knowing about the trace, portkeys, etc.

Wait a second... so if this takes place at this period of time that means Harry is in fact eleven to twelve years old. Eww...

'She smells nice; like a field of fresh flowers.'

That was his first thought? Not, "Who the hell is this girl and where did she come from?" or "What the heck? Am I still dreaming?"

Because "she smells nice" is just a completely normal reaction to have when you wake up to find a strange girl is sitting on top of you. /sarcasm

P.S. Title and perpetrator are missing, pottersues.

Poor Ron. What did he ever do to the Suethors that made them hate him so bad?

I guess get in the way of Harmony and/or Dramione. I usually see the seething Ron hate in the Dramione fics, anyway.

Which honestly makes no sense at all. There are plenty of things that would cause Ron and Hermione to break up with each other and still be friends. I mean, they tend to frustrate each other to no end, so while the pairing is set in canon, it is likely one of the easiest to break up due to the dynamics then any of the others. What I really dislike is Ginny bashing in the Harmony fanfics. Harry and Ginny do have pretty good chemesty that works in the positive, so it isn't as easy to break up, but they also have little to no interaction in canon, which means it is still an easy pair to break up. I think it has to do with the fact these writers don't want to take the time to write the interaction needed and it also has to do with the rabid fangirl idea that any girl breaking up your ship is bad ( ... )

He dares to be an ordinary, insecure, ill-mannered teenage boy. *gasp*
Suethors, if you haven't noticed, are really shallow

I think that the Summery is enough to make me want to pass this one up. I would imagine Harry would blush about the situation and act embarrass about the situation and thinking that She smells nice would be a second thought after mentally freaking out and quietly telling her to get off him and searching for some clothes for her to wear. Since I remember Harry being embarrass about Moaning Mertle finding him in the Prefect bath during the fourth book.

Wow, this is bad. I'm two chapters in and... it's just bad. In particular the Ron bashing. There's the common problem of how Harry and Hermione are constantly thinking about what an idiot he is, with no explanation on why they actually hang out with him if he's such a troll.

The first chapter starts off with Vernon punishing Harry (including punching him), because he cleaned the house. Really. Not only do they beat Harry, but they'll do so even if he's doing what they ask.
Jeanie shows up and the fic pretty much states that she's omnipotent. When asked if there's anything she can't do, she says "Yes; but that's only because you won't let me," and starts thinking about killing Vernon like the sociopath she is ( ... )

If you can't get past the first two chapters you should post a summary. The thing is if...

Personally, I don't mind if a person dislikes a character that I like. It's a matter of opinion and I let it be. It's the bashing of characters because you don't like who they are shipped with as far as Canon goes that ticks me off.
I'm not going to talk about the mentioned Dumbledore bashing. This fanfic sucks.

I tell writers to leave their hate of a character at the door when they write otherwise they ruin their story.
