In an effort to combat my internet's refusal to get up in the morning, I'm going to start posting Sues late at night.

While I'm here, I would just like to make a note to the world in general of one of my fanfic pet peeves: body-switching. Gah. People, it's old. It's been done. And usually it's not even done well. Stop writing it already, please.

I am fully aware that this is actually one of the smaller problems with this thing, but... that sentence REALLY bugs me. I can handle most Sues of this species, but... the sentence structure... what? She has curtains on her bed? What the crap? XD

Yes, she would have curtains on her bed, all of the Hogwarts students do. They are repeatedly mentioned.
This isn't great, or even okay, and yes, I have a sick enough mind to giggle at the mention of her wand, but this is not by any stretch of the imagination the worst thing I have Read in the pit.
A self insert only works if it is in the literal sense of the phrase and when someone figures out how to do that then please let me know.

Geh, I suppose-- didn't think about that. But my first thought went to random curtains actually _lying_ on the bed and I was tired. XD Forgive me.

Why the Hufflepuff bashing? What did they do to anyone, of all the houses?
Overshadowing the mains in their fields of expertise is not cool!
Author's notes in the middle of everything are annoying.
It would have been cool if she had made her characters the ones that said the canon lines about Harry, or maybe have them hear something else, that puts a new spin on it. Whatever it is, something original, please.

I know this is over a decade old and I'm a total weirdo for commenting on it, but on behalf of all proud Badgers I'd like the give the author of this fic a big WTF.
