This has nothing to do with the Sue I'm about to shred, but does anybody else get a bit annoyed at gratuitous use of the word 'mudblood' in HP fics? I'm guilty of a couple of casual uses of it myself, but I try to refrain; I've gotten the impression that it's considered extremely rude, that calling a muggle-born person a 'mudblood' is equivalent to ( Read more... )

Ugh.

This comm is definitely needed. The time will come when HP MarySues alone will swarm up and nearly cover all the others (which will at least get rid of those ones, thank heavens, but it won't deal with the bigger problem). I am joining this comm right now.

How the devil can you have a scar shaped like a phoenix? How do you know it's not a goose, or a dove? Maybe it's just a generic bird? :P

Maybe it's one of those weird branding tattoos. Those can be considered scars. And yes, branding tattoos exist and people do voluntarily get them.

Or maybe the scar is on fire. That'd be awesome.
