I'm taking bets she's going to wind up with Draco. I start the pot with 5 galleons.

Haven't gotten too far into the story, but I agree. I think that the author is definitely headed towards pairing up her character with Draco.

I can't speak for the non-binary gender issue that you bring up, but a quick search says that transgender can also fall under the non-binary gender umbrella. I am not sure if the author is accurately portraying this representation though. Lack of proper representation, especially in stories, can be extremely problematic

My problem was the very fact it felt like Harry's sibling was specifically identifying with one gender. There's also that impression of the writer not having done their research.
