Don’t forget about the first bi-annual Pottersues Contest which is replacing the old annual Pottersues Contest. The theme for said contest is Gamer Fic. Since Gamer Fic is a rather new concept in fanfic, I’ve added links to three entries which feature a Gamer Fic.

From what I've learned most RWBY fanfic is in vein of Twilight fanfic, though I have read a few nice ones from one of the writers I know on Wattpad. This has honestly put me off checking the fandom out, but for all the praise I saw it originally get I see said series now getting a lot of dispraise. Same goes for Steven Universe. Actually, I don't think Pottersues has done a Seven Universe crossover yet. That said, I wasn't impressed with the new She-Ra, so that might get some interesting Mary Sues.
