Apparently, this writer isn’t aware of two things regarding, “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all”. The first is that this saying is aboutpeople and not inanimate objects like people. The second issue is the writer is conflating being nice with saying something positive when in reality it is about following proper etiquette and not resulting to actual insults. Telling someone the truth is proper etiquette

Love it. There are so many stories where the character is the character in name only, but like Ron the Death Eater it doesn't necessarily mean it applies to just Ron.
