I'm really peeved when people do "fall into another world" fics where the character from the original world somehow gains additional powers or abilities unique to the second world while retaining that of the previous. People need to learn to pick one.

Somehow, their explanation of him being a faunus involves "soul-bonding," which exists in neither canon, but is tacked onto the RWBY universe for some apparently reason. The soul-bonding thing happened so easily that I wonder how anyone managed to stay single/unbonded prior to supposedly-Harry popping in. Then, I find out that you can apparently break said bonds willingly, yet there's an "un oh, [name] is going to kill me" for accidentally soul-bonding. The characters are supposed to fall in love with "Harry," yet he's has managed to "accidentally" do this twice in two chapters, both times to complete strangers. The lack of prior consent gives off a rape-vibe.

Since this involves reincarnation, their powers should fall in line with the canon world they've appeared into. When a character jumps worlds in other manners, I tend to prefer keeping their powers over getting new ones. Keeping both is when the two worlds are the same world, but then you've got to still decide what stays and goes.

I'm glad I'm not the only one to get a rape vibe off this one, but it does feel like "soul-bonding" is there to justify forcing two characters together despite the fact they wouldn't normally get together. And, despite what the writer says about what they plan on doing, I doubt they'll follow through with what's already been posted.
