I don't think the writer understands how this kind of AU works either. If she did she wouldn't be asking whether she should be keeping a character alive or not, but would have figured out whether that was a logical change or not. The problem though is a lot of the changes aren't logical.

Reminds me of the young male writer I came across on Wattpad recently because he advertised his story in the comment of another persons story, something you're not supposed to do. He was writing a Naruto fic where the Hyuga clan was at war with each other, the main versus the branch, but that only showed how much he didn't get the canon, and in reality it was so he could add in his Hyuga OC to be the hero.
