I'm going to tell you a long and complicated story that is an analogy for my life.

There are these two drinks: pink lemonade and blue raspberry. I've always drank (drunken?) pink lemonade because, well, I didn't know I could drink anything else and I didn't drink it often enough to complain, anyway.

But then. Then I had this amazingly good ( Read more... )

Oh, Harry. Maybe you should try other Blue Raspberries, while you wait for the specific glass that you like so much. I really think that glass is quite fond of you as well, perhaps it just needs more time. And during that time, you shouldn't sit around and do nothing. Have some bloody fun with other very attractive Blue Raspberries.

Harry. This whole analogy is beginning to look incredibly scary to me.

I don't know any other very attractive blue raspberries, Ginny.

I find it a bit amusing, actually. Half the people don't get it and the other half are trying to advise me while keeping up with the analogy. Highly entertaining.

Perhaps you should look around for a bit more. And, well, you know, Dennis is part Blue Raspberry.

Would you rather I forgot about the analogy?

Ginny! Dennis is Colin's baby brother. I like my spleen right where it is.

Hey, according to Malfoy, my analogy is very obvious, so I suppose he's saying he wouldn't mind.

BLUE RASPBERRY IS DELICIOUS! I don't know why you have such a problem with it.

It tastes better than pink lemonade, that's for sure.

Of course it does, Harry. Pink lemonade is for when you're young, and don't know what good tastes like. But Blue Raspberry. Blue Raspberry is for men.

Oh, really? You might have a point there.

HAVE YOU BEEN SPIKING THAT BLUE LEMONADE AND PINK RASPBERRY AND DRINKING THEM WITHOUT ME??

You dirty fucking sod. You could've told me!! Where are you now? I know for a FACT that Seamus has got a bit of rum under his bed, try as he might to deny it. WE SHOULD DRINK IT, HARRY.

Um. No, actually. But that is a brilliant idea.

And, what with you spending time with all the other Gryffindors boys but me, you will, naturally, be too busy to drink it with me.

I have not!!

Well, okay. A little. But I'm not busy now!

You have so. Did you think I wouldn't notice? Your presence is hard to ignore and the lack of it was extremely obvious. I'm going to need incentive to let you drink anything with me. Like an apology. And some chocolate.

You can always try peach iced tea. Low fat, too.

I don't really need to lose weight, Crabbe.

You will if you keep drinking all that blue raspberry and pink lemonade.

As heart-warming as it is to know that you care about my physique, I can handle it. If I ever need help, I'll know to come to you.
