Sevvie and Mione are made for each other, aren't they? In quite some fics, the obstacle preventing them of getting together aren't their personalities or the age difference. No, it's a freckled man called Ron Weasley, but more often than not only vaguely resembling Harry's best friend in canon. The red-haired hindrance to overcome is usually stupid

Even worse, the people who write HG/SS usually like Draco more than Ron (how 'bout those Slytherin bad boys), so instead of acknowledging Draco's faults, they deny them and bestow them all upon Ron, which leads to him becoming the shadow of the Ron that JKR brings us, the one who exists only to make Hermione's life with Snape a living hell while she has lots of orgasms and wet knickers.

It's as if there is some kind of character exchange, where Draco becomes like canon Ron and Ron becomes like canon Draco. Phhbbbttt.

I don't like Hermione, but it doesn't mean I'm going to violate her wub, just because, for God's sake, she's still human.

That's my general feeling about Snape. I'm not very fond of him in canon, but I do my best to keep him IC instead of going *bashbashbash*

Someone in my flist called Ron the "himenator", his only pourpose in most HG/SS fics is to deflower Hermione.

That definitely seems to be the only use he's put to in HG/SS ;).

I like the character, actually. I'm fond of all the Weasleys, even silly straight-laced Percy. As far as the tendency for a lot of fic writers to show him as being stupid, I think we can blame the movies, and their tendency to give all his canon "intelligent" comments to Hermione instead of letting him keep them.
