Update

Things are stressful right now. Finishing my masters, looking for a job (in this economy), generally just trying to figure out what to do with my life. To top it off, my dad was hurt at work, broke his shoulder and had to have surgery. So, the past few days have been spent at the hospital. He comes home today. Pray for us all.

Oh you poor dear. hope you can find a great job. sucks about your dad. I hope he has the kind of job with insurance and you all are not living short a whole paycheck. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm finishing my Peace Corps app today. My dad's doing okay, but driving my mom and me up a wall. He's getting workmen's comp, plus his retirement, so money-wise, we're okay. How's school going for you?

it's been super busy. My big paper is done, which is a huge relief. On Tues I argue my side of the issue - I'm going against the guy figured to be the best arguer in the class - lucky me! thurs I had a midterm. Good to have that done and out of the way.

Probably my biggest news and let me start by stating that I didn't get hurt; last week, while driving down the interstate, another car lost control crossed the median and totaled my car. The car doesn't even look all that bad - but it doesn't take huge amounts of damage to total a ten year old car. All the damage was on the front driver's side, broke the windshield; my side mirror, headlight, and quarter panel ended up somewhere on the road. Ended up taking out about 7 cars in total. I was pretty lucky really, timed a little differently and it could have been pretty bad.

I know a couple people who did the peace corps. they both loved it. Good luck with it!

Thank god only your car was totalled and you weren't hurt. Was everybody else okay (relatively speaking)? Do you get a new car out of the deal?
