Bork bork bork.

I can't believe there's that much nonsense in one small story.

I have no idea if the name Stacey was in use back then, but I'm betting not. And Sues! Please! William Turner is quite happily engaged or married to Miss Swann at this point. And does Will, at any point in the movie, call Elizabeth Liz? From what I can remember, he didn't, but I could be wrong...

I think "Bess," if anything, would be a more period nickname for Elizabeth, but in the movie I don't think Will calls her anything other than Elizabeth or Miss Swann.

Nope. Never calls her Liz, not to my memory. I doubt he would, either, it seems an informal nickname. Bess or Eliza, maybe, but Liz... I don't think it's right for that time.

“He might not be married but I think his got a girl now... lass on his crew... but even so, he wouldn’t stoop so low to cheat on her.”

Yes, he would.

Isn't it, well, explicitly mentioned in the movie that he would? And has? And shows no repentence, except a bit of regret that they found out and got mad?

That's something I've always been confused about. Scarlet and Giselle were prostitutes, no? Er, the last time I checked, prostitutes might not be thrilled if their clients are sleeping with other whores as well as them, but I don't think they would feel jealous or betrayed.

Maybe Jack fooled both of them into thinking that he had feelings for them, so that he didn't have to pay for their services. That's the only thing I could think of.

*Stacey*? *Tanya*?

Oh, yes, like those names were in use when PoTC takes place.

Methinks the Suethor has been looking in her father's Playboys for character names.

Well, Tanya would have been in use when PoTC takes place. But it also would have been localized to Russia/Eastern Europe. Perhaps this particular Tanya was magically transported from Russia and taught English. Probably by Jack. I've seen worse ideas in suefics.
