Mainly suffers from being ridiculously boring. From what little I skim-read, there didn't seem to be any Elizabeth-bashing/exclusion/mysterious deaths, so I suppose that that's a point in her favour...Whatever. I just can't seem to care about this fic, in any way.

A tattoo means that you're a pirate? Yeesh. I thought it just meant that you might have been to Asia. Or. Y'know. Been a sailor. And of course, 'cause it's a bird tattoo, that means that Jack Sparrow has something to do with it. And of course people are after la Isla del Muerte, 'cause there aren't any OTHER islands with treasure on them...

And--Sonja Raven? Ouch!

after her mother dies and her last word is "sparrow."

If that was my mother's last word I would believe she was delusional and feel sorry for her but at least this Sue can't be Jack's true love because that's just incest.

How refreshing to see another Sue-hunter who dislikes Thoreau (as well as appreciating good drama)! Now I finally know where I belong.

Au contraire, I find him to be dull, preachy, and hypocritical. Not to say that his ideas aren't good, but even he didn't follow them completely, which says something substantial.

Sonya has connotations in my area- if someone is a "Sonya" they are the kind of hefty woman able to weild (and indeed brain a bloke with) an bottle of whisky filled with pennies. A BIG bottle of whisky as well...

Well, for one it it a new thing to see a Sue de-y-ify a name.

And... *glares threateningly* Do you have anything against Sonja, the proud name of the Norwegian princess, hmmm?

Shoo, bad Sue, nothing royal about you! *pulls out the commonfolk spork*
