She can speak four foreign languages at the age of nineteen, apparently fluently (although I suspect Babelfish may have helped her out)? Uh, possible, I suppose, but really, really unlikely. Especially in England. [/xenophobia]

I mean, where did she learn them? Maybe French and Spanish at school...but Dutch? Does she have Dutch family? Does she holiday in Portugal often? I can't see an abusive!Dad paying for extra foreign language lessons when it looks like he doesn't even allow her to leave the house.

Longtime lurker, first time poster.

This Sue irks me. Most reasons have been stated (four languages before nineteen?) and what kind of people think this is good? She's just... gaah. Horrible.

I know. At least most of the Sues out there have a sort of fakey likeability to them. This one I actually dislike not only as a plot device, but as a person. I mean, if I met her on the street, I'd slap her. (And she WOULD deserve it.)

The whole thing with deliberately trying to piss Jack off and freak him out for no reason is just... eugh. I can completely picture some idiot teenybopper doing that, too. And I can picture the good captain's reaction.

No, he wouldn't throw her overboard, he's the merciful sort. He'd just throw her in the brig, have someone bring her food and water once a day, and ditch her immediately at the first port of call. But because this is the insane apostrophe-bedecked imposter Jack, of course, he has to fall in wuv with this obnoxious little bitch. Eeew. The real Jack must be ashamed.

Aside from the complete lack of realism... I have to question...

Wasn't she a fangirl of PotC and Jack? Why is she being such a cow to him, then? *blinks* I guess... if I met my favourite character from something, I'd probably be more in awe of them than anything. It just seems weird that if she likes Jack so much, why is she a bitch to him suddenly and 'doesn't like him'?

And pretending to commit suicide to trick someone into saving you... that just seems kind of mean to me. It's like making fun of someone being nice enough to try and save your life.
