How much time passes between CotBP and DMC?

I've seen a lot of fics which seem to assume it's only a day or two, but surely it would take months - at least - to organise a big wedding, destroy Norrington'

A day or two? Hmmm... I've never heard that. I read one fic that said that only a couple of months passed, but it was an AU so the writer probably knew or whatever.

I have to back up the clue lostwiginity pointed out. It's got to be a year. I'd also like to know how much time passes between DMC and AWE if anyone can tell me. I'm guess like a couple of months since they have to travel from the Caribbean to Asian and it seemed to me that they would have left right away.

I don't think there are any clues as to how much time has passed between DMC and AWE. Personally, I'd guess six months, but that's just my own fanon. I don't think there's *anything* in canon to help.

I'd have said about 6 months too, but now I've read the other comments, I'm convinced it's a year.

No - I'm sorry if I wasn't clear.
I agree that it is one year between CotBP and DMC (I've said that in other comments).
I meant, I would estimate six months between DMC and AWE, but there's no evidence in the films themselves.

I have to agree with everyone else on it being a year from the end of CotBP to the beginning of DMC. There's also the fact that when Beckett is asking where Norrington is, Governor Swann says that he resigned his commission several months ago. That to me in and of itself hints at it being somewhere around a year. So one more vote for a year. :)

I was looking through the DMC shooting script TnT posted on Wordplayer, and (in additon to the 13 years - 12 years = 1 year math everyone else has done) Will has a cut line, to Bootstrap: "For nearly a year, I've been telling myself that I killed you--to save you." Therefore, "nearly a year" has passed since Will broke the curse at the end of CotBP.
