Was there an activity about asking questions?  I hope so, because I have one.  Hope it's OK to post it now.  If not, please delete and I'm sorry.

How much time passes between CotBP and DMC?

I've seen a lot of fics which seem to assume it's only a day or two, but surely it would take months - at least - to organise a big wedding, destroy Norrington' ( Read more... )

A day or two? Hmmm... I've never heard that. I read one fic that said that only a couple of months passed, but it was an AU so the writer probably knew or whatever.

I have to back up the clue lostwiginity pointed out. It's got to be a year. I'd also like to know how much time passes between DMC and AWE if anyone can tell me. I'm guess like a couple of months since they have to travel from the Caribbean to Asian and it seemed to me that they would have left right away.

I don't think there are any clues as to how much time has passed between DMC and AWE. Personally, I'd guess six months, but that's just my own fanon. I don't think there's *anything* in canon to help.

For some reason, lj, keeps giving you the replies I'm trying to send to starrdust411. But this one's for you.

I'd have said about 6 months too, but now I've read the other comments, I'm convinced it's a year.

No - I'm sorry if I wasn't clear.
I agree that it is one year between CotBP and DMC (I've said that in other comments).
I meant, I would estimate six months between DMC and AWE, but there's no evidence in the films themselves.

Trying to reply to starrdust411 here... if lj will let me.

Thanks.
I agree that DMC to AWE takes as long as the journey to Singapore. Penknife recently posted a question in her journal about travel times and there were some wonderfully useful answers, including tables of journey times. (The quick and dirty answer seems to be about 90 miles per day, but there are so many factors that leaves out.) If you're interested, you can find her post and the answers to it in my memories.
