Lois had been stumbling down the street when Warren located her. Her hands and clothes were covered in Ali's blood. She kept trying to wipe it off, but there was too much and it stained her hands. She was speaking gibberish, muttering things even she didn't understand anymore before she looked up at him.

"Good."

That was all she said and she didn't look scared or worried. She simply stood in front of him and waited. It almost seemed fitting that she would be killed the Angel of Death. Maybe afterward, she'd finally find some peace. Killing Alison hadn't given her any.

The street wasn't particularly busy and there weren't many people around at all at this time in the evening, but that didn't stop Archangel from grabbing Lois by the hair and shoving her backwards into an alley and onto a pile of old garbage bags. The strength that he used then was beyond superhuman and not at all something that she would be able to combat even on a good day.

Then he leaned down and dug his claws into Lois' throat, wings extending out and erect around them. Those sharpened blades pointed toward her and ready to be used.

"You are not worthy of life."

Lois welcomed the pain almost as much as she welcomed the death she knew he'd be thrusting upon her soon enough. The time for words was over, mostly because she couldn't articulate anything anymore. Not with his claws digging in, but also because her voice was too hoarse from crying.

Instead, she smiled at him. It wasn't her usual sardonic one, but something more akin to how she used to smile back before she'd started down the path that had led to this very confrontation.

"I know."

That was all he would get from her, though, she had a feeling that might be all he would need to hear.

It was frightening, that smile. The visual of it resonated in Warren's mind, reminding his psyche of the days when they were both much younger and more innocent. He remembered meeting her late that night in Alison's apartment; she was sweet and naive and meeting her sister for the very first time. They'd politely been introduced before Warren had excused himself to give the ladies some privacy, opting to meet up with them later.

It'd been such simpler times for everyone. Better times. Things had been looking more and more optimistic for the Blaire-London family than it ever had, and Warren couldn't have had been happier for them.

But that image was quickly cut out of his mind as Archangel replaced it with the visual of Alison's battered, bloody body. She'd been out after offering to get him and the other builders some coffee and refreshments as a kind favour. She hadn't asked to be attacked by her sister. Archangel was aware of the resurrection factor and knew that Alison would be back soon. That did not lessen the impact of this ( ... )

It had been such a long day, and by the time Alison had showered, checked on and talked to Megan, she felt even more upset and messed up than she had when this had first happened. Alison felt alone, despite all of the concerned people asking if she was okay. She also felt like she was in shock since it was Lois who had done this horrible thing. Alison knew it was naive, but she always wanted to hope that Lois would never do this to her. Lois always, always held back when it came to their fights, so the fact that she'd went and crossed that line was still sinking in ( ... )

Archangel arrived just moments after his encounter with Lois, still breathing hard, still doused in red, and still blue and metallic as ever. He landed right on the porch silently, perched on the solid railing in front of her. His claws dug into the wood as a way to reel his anger back in. It was easier to fight for control now, always easier when his emotions were bubbling over and taking hold of him. All Warren could do now is watch her and feel so heartbroken at the site of her ( ... )

Alison looked up at him, not bothering to wipe at her eyes when she did so. She knew Warren would understand how she felt right now, especially with what happened to him when Pixie was sick. However, she did see all of the blood on him, and she didn't even want to ask him about it. She hadn't seen him on the network, and Lois didn't reply to anyone on her post. Lois was dead, and Alison knew it. Right now, too, she had no idea how to handle that, so she just would push it off to the side. Alison didn't want to think about Lois, because today she had been smacked in the face with how she could never help her sister no matter what she did. It was too hard to think of Lois London this evening, so Alison had to shut that part of herself off. It was horrible, and she was a rotten person, but if she didn't do it, then she was going to lose her mind ( ... )

He wouldn't hug her when he was like this; that was disgusting. Here he was with her sister's intestines all over him, and even just having her touch at his wrist like she was made his stomach flip because of it. Warren pulled away, frowning down and looking away from her. It most likely would not have come across as a rejection or anything hostile, but more like he was just trying to be careful. It was his own silly fault for grazing her hair in the first place.

"I wish I knew something to say to make you feel better, but I know that there isn't anything. Not really," he whispered, and went back to digging his claws into the rail. Bring back that anger, War.

"All I can say is that she won't hurt you again."
