It was frightening, that smile. The visual of it resonated in Warren's mind, reminding his psyche of the days when they were both much younger and more innocent. He remembered meeting her late that night in Alison's apartment; she was sweet and naive and meeting her sister for the very first time. They'd politely been introduced before Warren had excused himself to give the ladies some privacy, opting to meet up with them later.

It'd been such simpler times for everyone. Better times. Things had been looking more and more optimistic for the Blaire-London family than it ever had, and Warren couldn't have had been happier for them.

But that image was quickly cut out of his mind as Archangel replaced it with the visual of Alison's battered, bloody body. She'd been out after offering to get him and the other builders some coffee and refreshments as a kind favour. She hadn't asked to be attacked by her sister. Archangel was aware of the resurrection factor and knew that Alison would be back soon. That did not lessen the impact of this and frankly he was tired of Lois' cowardly behaviour. Necrosha had been bad enough. Overseeing that pink whore Blink destroy his wings had been even worse. But this? This was over a line that Archangel strangely could not bear to see crossed.

So he shot her in the gut with a handful of paralysing flechettes. They would not kill her right away, but make the process so slow and painful.

Her eyes widened for a moment at the pain before she couldn't move. It was so fitting that she end her life like this, engulfed in pain and unable to do anything about it. After all the suffering she had directly caused, she was pretty sure there wasn't a more just way for her to go.

But the smile would stay on her face. Death was something she welcomed; she only hoped that it would stick.

The longer she smiled, the more he sliced and cut her open, leaving her insides exposed and eviscerated. As it so often did, though, the spilling of blood only made Archangel more vicious and nasty and as he ripped and tore at Lois' body, he eventually just got sick and disgusted of her vile face and decided to cut her in half. He finished the kill by removing her head, and dropped it down into one of the trash bags beneath her like the scum she was.

Then that was it. He spit on her body before sauntering away like a casual, elegant being, painted in her blood and metal gleaming in the street lights. His purpose had been served here, and Lois did not deserve the compassion of having her body hidden away or disposed of.

Archangel simply lifted up into the air and flew up and over the city to leave New York behind and once more return to the stomping grounds of New Mexico.
