Jade may have passed out on the train before, but now she was wide awake and chipper as fuck and, more than anything, excited to meet her-brother-who-was-older-Karkat's-friend. As Karkat opened the door she launched herself to meet him, wrapping her arms around his waist and grinning into his chest.
"Gosh, so rude of you to leave a lady all alone! Mmm, is that pizza? I'm hungryyyy. Can I have some?" She looked up at Karkat with wide, imploring eyes, a face he couldn't hope to resist. Especially since he knew she hadn't gotten to experience pizza until coming here.
"Hi Older John! Nice to meet you! Glad you made it."

When he opened the door, he took a step back as Jade latched onto Karkat. He couldn't help grinning, biting his lip to keep from snickering.
"Dad?"
That was really way too cute.
Oh but, of course he had to take a moment to mentally gush over how cute and bitty Jade was. Oh man.
"Hey, Tiny Jade! It's nice to meet you too, heheh."

"Bite me, Egbert," he spat, but there was no venom in his words. He held out his hand to take the pizza, pointedly intending to spin it over Jade's head. He obviously also intended to let her eat some of it, but not without holding it over her head for just a moment (secretly, this was why Karkat was friends with children).
"You two make friends, I'm gonna go set the pizza down."

"So how are you doing, John? Why don't you have an ectobiology shirt? Are you having fun here so far? Do you have one of those weird marks too? Do you want to come live in Seattle with us? Or Truth or Consequences, I don't know. What's it like being old?"
