WHO: Lois London and Lucifer WHAT: meet ups! WHERE: Truth or Consequences WHEN: Tonight! WARNINGS: do you see who is in this log? SUMMARY: Lois meets Luci. Only GREAT THINGS can come of this.
For as long as there have been humans huddled around their fires, lost in that primordial fear of the dark, there have been things in that blackness beckoning them out, out into the close quarters of the night, where no one would hear them scream.
Lucifer liked to walk the streets of Truth or Consequences, to feel out the ethereal energy of the place like a tin-hat looking for ley lines, running long fingers over the world's tattered fabric barely binding together reality. It ran thin in these places, these three one-way gates from other worlds to this, the only points of exit even where Heaven and Hell and a dozen other Otherworlds should have lay. So it was no surprise at all that she could be found in the dark places of the town in a dark time of the night, tilting her head and smiling at nothing at the small torrent of destruction and potential energy making its way towards her. The shadows wrapped around her kindly, hiding even the distinctive bright white until she wasn't even silhouette

Lois shivered as she passed the alley, rubbing the back of her neck as she peered back into the darkness. She wasn't up to date on who was who in the world anymore as she rarely checked the network. The people on it were annoying, always complaining about their problems or boasting about their successes. Sometimes Lois wished they would simply shut up, but there was something different about the woman in the alley. Something dark that seemed to call out to the innermost thoughts that ran through Lois' mind.
"Hello?" she called in way of greeting, but didn't approach. She chose instead to stay half in the shadows, half in the light of a streetlamp.
"Hello, Lois," Lucifer answered softly, stepping from the shadows obligingly into a shaft of light that hadn't been there a moment earlier. She was wearing only a dress and heels, towering over the other woman, showing no signs of being cold in the chilly winter night. "You don't have to be afraid of me. I'm not going to hurt you."
Lois watched the other woman carefully. There was something almost familiar about her, but she couldn't place the familiarity. She crossed her arms as she assessed her, trying to keep the building urge to let her powers loose under control. There was something ethereal about this stranger that was causing Lois to remain in place instead of fleeing like she wanted.
"Do you tell that to everyone before you devour them?"
