Cata thought this through a bit, before extending the invitation. Bringing someone into the Guild itself struck her as ill-advised, if only because she could hardly work out how to explain Milliways to Sam; forcing the topic with everyone else would be a bad move ( Read more... )

He's procured a suitable tunic from the Bar, and after checking some aspects of history, traded in his usual eyeglasses for a pair of carefully padded pince-nez. They're a little pinchier than he's used to, but that shouldn't be a problem. "Indeed," he says, glancing around in frank curiosity. "It looks as if zis should be an interesting place."

"Well, you're with me, so you shouldn't face too many inconvenient questions. I'd keep a close eye on any valuables you might have, though - it's not only our Guild that's re-established itself." The Assassins' and Thieves' Guilds aren't quite back up to their old animosity, but that doesn't stop them from poking at each other every now and then.
"We don't have nearly as many mechanical conveniences as you - or even the bar, really - so it'll be an outdoor performance. Bit of a risky time of year to do so, but it's been long enough since a theatre troupe came through that they're likely to make good on the trip anyway."
