Orla had finally gotten to the point where she responded to Dennis's nickname. She hadn't quite gotten to the point where the giggling of younger students didn't make her blush when he said it. She glanced up quickly with an abstracted smile. "Dunno. Think I need to work more on Charms this week." She was wholly focused on revising, to the point where any time she spent with Dennis felt a bit like she should be studying.
He frowned and gave a small pout. "We could study outside, unless you need a specific book." he suggested. Feeling slightly caged in, he was hoping she would join him.
"We could take a short one, 20 minutes. Fresh air would be good."
She gnawed on her lip. She hated it when he pouted. She had no ability to resist that coming from him, and she was certain he knew it.
She had heard that getting some vitamin D from the sun helped productivity. "Ok. Just let me get a few things..." She went to check out two books she was certain to need in the revising process, packed her bag up, and looked expectantly at Dennis.
Dennis broke out into a broad grin. "Take you time," he said as he quickly swept he things haphazardly into his bag. He Waited until Orla had checked out the book she needed before taking her bag and tossing over his opposite shoulder and taking her hand.
"I was think we could go to our tree and work on Charms." he said as they began to head towards the outside. "Easter break is coming up. Are you going to stay or go home?"
Orla looked him full in the face. "And I appreciate that, but sometimes I want to carry my own bag. I mean, I'm getting out of shape and my arms are getting all flabby." She joked a bit. "I can carry them over my other shoulder so I have a hand free."
Dennis thought she was crazy for thinking she was out of shape; she was beautiful and he liked her just the way she was. "Your arms are not flabby. Nothing about you is flabby," he said. "Are you sure? I don't mind. I kind of like it."
"Dennis." She said patiently. "I want to carry my own books on occasion." She wasn't going to argue whether her arms were flabby or not - truthfully, when she was hauling books to the study table, she got a little out of breath, and she didn't want to keep having problems. "I like it too sometimes, but I'll take you for granted if I don't carry them sometimes." She held out her hand for the bag.
He was disappointed. He didn't want to be, but he was. He removed her bag from his shoulder and handed it to her. "If it is what you want," he said as her hand grabbed the strap of the bag.
