Oliver was setting up the tables as best he could. The glasses were in lines and he had the various liquors out as well as chilled butterbeer. Hearing Tracey coming through the floo he grinned. She had been a total angel in helping him with the planning. All he hoped was that it didn't turn into a scene for either of them.

"In here luv, how are you doing?"

She smiled and placed the bag on one of the tables. "Hello." she said as she began pulling things out and unshrinking them as she figured out places to put them.

"Do you think we may need more?" she asked pulling out more serving trays with finger foods, there were about a dozen.

Surveying the table, Oliver shook his head and then shrugged. "I think we're good for now, if we need more we know we have it. How does that sound?"

He knew that the guests would be there soon and hoped that everything would be ok.

"Do you have the stuff for the game?"

She nodded. "Oh, I have something for you." Since she knew he'd be interested in her study. Pulling out the small bound collections of research studies, she handed it to him, trying not to smile too much at her own, Mixed Signs: An in depth look at symbol variations of the Norse and Anglo-Saxon Runes

Alicia pulled Gwen into Oliver's as they appeared in the fireplace. "Oli!" She exclaimed happily, kissing his cheek. She rather adored him, not as much as George, but she did. "Tracey, hello." She said cheerfully. Alicia had been working longer hours to attempt to save money and she hadn't seen much of anyone lately, it was nice to be out and with her friends.

"Al! Good to see you, come on in." Oliver greeted as his former housemate came through the floo with a Harpy. "Can I get you ladies anything to drink?"

"Yes, a Firewhiskey. What do you want love?" She asked Gwen.

Tracey nodded to Alicia and went pour her a drink. "Straight up or on the rocks?" she asked

[pb_charlie]

"Let me," Charlie said leaving off on buttoning his black shirt and crossing over to do up the zip on Athena's dress. "Those fancy knickers of yours are going to drive me insane, McG." He dropped a kiss on the back of Athena's neck before doing up the little hook thing at the top of the zip.

Charlie tucked his shirt in and finished doing up the buttons on the placket of his charcoal grey trousers. "What do you think? Good enough to shag when we get back?" he asked as he reached for his belt and threaded it through the loops. He slipped on loafers, which felt a little odd considering he spent most of his time in boots, but it was a party and when he'd seen the dress Attie planned to wear, he decided he'd dress up a bit more for her.

"All set?" Charlie asked, offering his arm once she slipped on her own shoes.

Athena laughed. "Well, perhaps I should take them off?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. She tossed her hair a bit, making sure it hadn't fallen flat or anything. When she was satisfied, she left it alone and turned to Charlie, smirking. Merlin, he looked good cleaned up. She almost wanted to skip the party

Hearing another knock on the door, Oliver headed over to let in the next set of guests. So far they were all from his list and he kind of hoped some of Tracey's friends would get there soon. Seeing Athena and Charlie at the door her grinned.

"Charlie, good to see you, please come in."

"Oy, look at little Wood, all grown up." Attie teased with a wink. She'd only seen him once or twice since she'd been on the team with him back in her final year. Merlin.... that had been nine years ago.

Daphne arrived just late enough to be fashionable, but before a majority of the guests. She greeted Tracey with a friendly smile and offered her a bottle of wine. "Never come empty handed," she said with a wink. "Besides, I figured you and Oliver might want to relax with some wine a bit after hosting this gathering."

Tracey smiled. Finally one of her guests. "Daphne, Hello. Thanks for coming. Drink?"

Daphne gave her friend a sympathetic smile... looked like they were surrounded by Gryffindors thus far. "Glad to be here," she said. "I'll have a beer, if you've got one."

"Sure. Somewhere." she said taking Daphne by the arm and leading her to the table with the drinks. She found a bottle, uncapped it and handed it to her.

Now that Oliver knew about the study, she wanted to bring it up to Daphne. "So, how are things at the magazine?"

"Oliver! Long time no see!" Katie bellowed before jumping onto him with just a bit more force than she meant to. "Good to see you, mate. How's everything? Adjusting to the off-season yet?"

Oliver returned the enthusiastic greeting with a grin. "Good to see you too Katie, I've been doing alright, keeping busy. what about you? Weasley treating you right?"

"Oh, hardly," Katie laughed. "You should have a talk with him about that, Wood, how to treat a lady right and all that. Maybe you should 'talk some sense into him'. He could learn a thing or two from a gentleman like you."

"I don't know Katie, my love. It is Weasley, he can be a tough study. Besides I think you like the challenge, don't you?" Oliver teased
