Srsly, I just do not get this shit. Video games are FUN, dammit! I do not understand how this turned into some sort of gender-related bullshit. Okay, so my boyfriend at the time was the one who first introduced me to Pokemon (it was still an obscurity among anime nerds at the time), but I was kicking his ass at it a month later, and *he* was giving *me* shit about how hardcore I got. Just sayin'!

NGL, stomping people who pull the "OMG BUT UR A GIRL, U CANT PLAY GAMES" card has always brought me a certain amount of extra special glee. (And of course, there are the assholes who decide I'm a "fake geek girl" as soon as I mention liking Mario Kart - fuck them too.) The high road is SO totally overrated, and damn right, sometimes, you just don't have the mental\emotional resources (or the desire, for that matter!) to shell out for the cab fare.
