i finally decided that this mike thing isn't working. he is constantly letting me down and carelessly hurting my feelings. i dont think he does it on purpose, but i'm tired of playing this game. i told him that he wasn't ready for anything with me. he's in a place where he cant give me what i need from him. i said that i deserve much better than

that is a tough decision to make.. but hopefully you will find yourself happier in the long run. and who knows, maybe he just needs some time to come around...
so it is good that you are staying in touch (even if it is just a check in every once in a while)
i'm sure that you'll make the most of what is given to you.
