The very first slash story I read was Cowboy by ghettogreta. I think I was googling something about Lance and horses and this wonderful story popped up. I didn't know what slash was and hadn't been into reading fanfic at all, but one read and I was hooked!

If anyone can find this story for me, I will love them forever (I'd read it on FanFiction.net before their RPF purge): It was Brian/Nick, and Brian had AIDS (given by an exgirlfriend). Having been shunned by just about everyone, Nick was Brian's caretaker as well as his lover. They have unprotected sex. Brian dies in Nick's arms that same night.

Depressing, depressing story which caused me to write my first slash fic in response (because I wanted them to be happy, and I wanted fluff fic!).

The first popslash stories I ever read was by...Cecilia, I think. It was at Puppies in a Box and I always think helenish wrote it, but she didn't. Anyway, I believe it was TrickC, and there was something about them having to lose weight, and at the time I thought Joey was Chris and I had no idea which one JC was. I only knew the sheep-headed one and the one with the wonky eyes.

Everything I read at first was by either helenish, synchronik or the Sandys, aka callmesandy and circusgirl.

The first non-popslash story I ever read was some sort of MSR X-Files fic, but that's so far back in the mists of time I have no idea.

One of the first I read was a Justin/Lance and I have no idea what it was called, something about a book. Justin kept a book over every sexual encounter he ever had, from creepy record ex when he was little to Lance. That is what made me go from het to slash, I just loved it.

First het fic, who the hell knows, it was like 10 years ago.

First slashfic I read was The Way You Know Him, which finally got me over the mental hurdle of not being able to picture any of the guys together in a non-platonic way.
