Well here I am.

Not dead. Just got busy. and then I didn't dare to come back - what if everyone I knew had gone away? Maybe it was time to move on...then again, maybe not.

Thanks for the prod - it gave me courage to come back.

First BSL class yesterday. Really nice people, good mix of ages and backgrounds. The teacher is deaf, so our classes are extremely quiet! But that's good, because we have to pay attention and work hard to understand him ( Read more... )

I'm trying to decide if there is any such thing as a job for someone with a Linguistics degree in the UK. One that won't drive me to jump off a very tall cliff after the first 2 months. I don't think so.
