I finished campaign 1 of Critical Role last night. It's taken me a year, but I got to the end. For those who don't know, Critical Role is - in the words of Matt Mercer - "a bunch of nerdy-ass voice actors playing Dungeons & Dragons." I read this post on tumblr about this website called 4thewords.com. You basically play a game where the "battle" is writing - you fight a monster, say, that requires you to write 300 words in 45 minutes. If you manage that, you defeat the monster, who will drop items you can use for crafting, or money you can use to buy armor upgrades or whatever. ( Read more... )

My dad's side of the family is visiting from out of state. They usually only come up about once a year - if that - so all week, on my days off, I've been staying out until 11pm to visit with family.
