Workplace woes

I promised myself I'd post more often and wouldn't wait until I had things to complain about, but I have something big to complain about, lol. I'm going to talk about fandom after, if that helps.

I was reading the first 2 books in The Dark Artifices series but the author hasn't put out the 3rd book yet so I started reading The Heroes of Olympus series and am on the second of a 5 book series. I'm also reading fic in between that.

Aw man. You basically just get to see a TON of carts filled with bottles, LOL. So you get an idea, at least. I hope tomorrow is better too *HUGS*

Ooo I haven't heard of either of those series! I'll have to google them :D How do you balance fic and books? I always end up reading fics LOL

It's the difference between taking the Kindle with me or the real book. I see stuff on the computer when I'm surfing and I will read a story or 2 and then pick up my book before bed or for the DR visit. I can read more than one thing at a time so not unusual to have more than 1 thing going when I read.

Ahhh, I see. I don't buy hard copies of books anymore - I've run out of room for more bookshelves, so I buy all ebooks. So it's very easy to just...not read a book, lol. That's a good idea though, separating them like that!

I haven't gotten much time to read for myself, which is sad. I just finished reading My Side of the Mountain to my 7yo, though. It was one of my favorites as a kid and I thoroughly enjoyed rediscovering it with my son.

right now I'm reading salty Civil War (Avengers) fic. :D but not much, because I don't have time. working way too many hours, and I'm back doing pottery in my free time.

Thaaaanks. We've had several chain stores in the city close, so we're getting increased traffic, which means we tend to run out of bottle bins every Monday or so. But it's never been this bad :\

Ooo, salty Civil War fic, I like the sound of that. You can make pottery too?? You should save some talent for the rest of us ;)

Oh, that is REALLY cool. And it looks like a gargoyle! I'm afraid I'm not all that talented when it comes to art-type things, so I could never get my pottery to look like anything at all when I tried. Are you going to paint it or leave as is?
