Welcome once again, to another edition of DRAMA FREE THURSDAY wherein I try to improve the signal to noise ratio on the Internet. Especially on LJ. As usual, I'm going to be discussing a behavior or behaviors that we've ALL seen that might not be the best things going and tend to bring out the worst in our Internet experience. I can't do video but I like the title... and it's so very true. Our experiences & POV are built as as sum of all our parts, all of our past experiences, not just the one mile that this one person saw when they walked in our shoes.

Although, I do think it can be useful for those who never wear high heels to actually try walking in them. The last time RuPaul's Drag Race did a "tough guy drag makeover" all the guys talked about how they now understood when their dates were put off by having to walk an extra block or two... those shoes are an experience all their own.

*hugs*

Keepin' it drama free in CA...

I find that having friends and family with diverse interests --people I like who don't share all the same likes and dislikes (political views, etc.) that I do, help me to get along with people who don't always have the same likes and dislikes, etc. For example, I have a nephew who also doesn't like dogs but likes cats. Knowing someone like that helps me to understand that there are good people in the world who don't always share the same likes as I do --in this case dogs.

In response to your video: you have an excellent point about walking in someone shoes is not enough, and I have always appreciated your positive attitude, as to your feelings you have a right to them just like everyone else so don't let critics make you think differently.

In response to the home invasion: That is a very scary event and no one knows how they will react to situations until they happen (I don't care how they are trained). I'm just relieved that you and Lisa are safe and healthy ((HUGS))
