I consciously accepted a compliment today without making any kind of justification for it, like I normally would. I find myself wondering if receiving compliments is like other thing; the more practice you get, the easier it becomes

I have been having thoughts about getting rid of my car ...
I'll admit I'm biased, but getting rid of your car would be a wonderful idea. Less pollution, less problems with traffic jams, **much** less money spent. (I've heard claims that the average motorist spends $2000-3000 each year on car payments and maintenance.)
I grant that it won't be easy, as Ottawa in general is far too sprawled out and car-oriented. But, as a society, we really won't be able to afford suburbs and sprawl for much longer -- the "Peak Oil" issue will see to that.
Three cheers for Duncan!
Thank you. :-)
I have a bit of tinkering to do yet, as kallisti pointed out. But it should not take too much more effort -- I hope to have a revision up by tomorrow. [A design choice I made -- for the sake of working with old versions of Internet Exploder -- causes the "drop-down" list-boxes to misbehave. Fixing it means that I.E. v.6 and (probably) v.7 won't see the "tool-tips"; c'est la vie.]

It did for me. I hope the compliment told you what a wonderful person you truly are :)
I wonder how long it takes for a body to get rid of the side effects of caffeine?
Depends upon how pervasive the coffee is in your blood. I found when I was truly addicted it took about a month before my system was right again.
I feel (and fear) cutting the car out cold-turkey is not option.
Part of what makes it an option for me is that I get a discount through my work for public transit. I also have options like ZipCar (which I think you have there but I'm not sure).
I wish I could give you the cuddles you need. Hopefully somebody else you care about will give them to you soon.
