Free After Rebate stuff

Hi!  I’ve been watching this community for a while, and have gotten some great tips, so I figure it’s time to get over my shyness, and post!

One way I save money, is with monthly rebate brochure from Walgreens.  It’s called the EasySaver catalog, and every month they have a few items that are free after rebate.  For instance, this month they ( Read more... )

I do the free-after-rebate things at Walgreens nearly every month. I'll even buy items that I can't use, and donate them to a local homeless shelter instead.

We have a donor here at The Food Bank who does that on a regular basis - it's a wonderful thing!

Great idea. I can't believe it never dawned on me to do that. I just got my ads for next week, sadly, they are sitting next to me on my bed. I get so excited when I hear them hit the steps.

Hmm. You know, Rite Aid does something like that...I never looked through it for things, I just made sure to look for the signs if I'm getting something I need in the store. But I wonder if they have free things in there too...I'm going to check.

Oh, and theirs is called "Single-Check Rebates." As in, you wait until the end of the month and send in one thing (online) and they cut you a single check.

too bad theirs is never free after rebate, its just a portion of it.

Yeah I noticed that when I scrolled through. Bummer. But hey, if you don't have a Walgreens (we don't) and need something, it's kinda cool to pick from that list.

Their catalog/Sunday ads often include loss leaders - meaning they lose money on them to get you into the stores.

You should also look into CVS's Extra Care Bucks program with their reward card. They often have a lot of items that are free after ECBs.
