Are you paying for this day care?

"I can't afford anything above and beyond my daycare costs"

Even though I should have said the daycare is a nonprofit organization.

That's why I asked..if you're already paying..for the daycare costs..I would suggest something simply baked or made.

Can you bake them some cookies?

That's actually a really great idea. I could probably dress up the packaging really nice and give each one of them their own...

Food :) (almost) everyone loves cookies, you can bake them with your daughter and give as a gift: two-in-one :)

I second those who say bake something. And if you can't bake, I'm sure you can come up with an equally heartfelt handmade gift.

BTW, is that your daughter in your icon? What a cutie :)

That is her. She's 4 months now. That pic was taken when she was about a week old...lol.

I really need to get updated pics.

IMO, I think a homemade gift would show your appreciation. If I was an employee I would be touched by your thoughtfulness.

Oh, and attach a short, sweet hand-written note. :D

I second the note. Sometimes, kind words can really mean more than the gift that comes with!

And daycare employees have to deal with a lot of stressed parents and kids, lol...

yeah that's what I was going to say too. People appriciate kind words as well. when i was a brownie leader I used to get notes from the parents or xmas cards at that time of year. Sometimes I got little home-made ornaments or candles or something like that.
