I have red wine puke on my carpet. I cleaned up the majority of the mess and then used carpet cleaner on it but any other ideas on how to get red wine puke out of carpet if the carpet cleaner doesnt work? Thanks.....

I just took this off a website.

Wine: When red wine is spilled on your carpet, dilute it with white wine, then clean the spot with cold water and cover with table salt. Wait ten minutes, then vacuum up the salt

Oxy Clean worked when I had this problem. :D It just took several applications with very, very hot water.

Yeah, I was just about to say the same. This happened in my apartment with someone drinking an entire bottle of Aftershock. Yikes. Anyway, Oxy Clean is the best for these types of stains!

Try cold water, first, as hot water sets many stains - then if it doesn't work, try the hot water as the aforementioned poster who had success did!

I also recommend oxyclean.

It completely removed merlot from my white waiter shirt.

Wouldn't this be more suited to hip_domestics or some-sort community? I mean, I fail to see the "poor skill" needed to clean your carpet?

Technically it could fall into either - if she doesn't want to buy $60 specialty cleaning products & needs to keep it cheap, I don't understand why it couldn't be a poor skill

or is it that all us po' skill people are filthy & should never have need to clean anything?

Eh, I still think she would find more help in a domestic community.

or is it that all us po' skill people are filthy & should never have need to clean anything?

Seriously? Come on now. Just giving her an idea that she might find better/more help in a community geared towards that sort of thing.

it's called sarcasm

& suggesting a different community & outright implying that it's not a poor skill are 2 seperate things.
