So I wrote this in MC 271 (Constitutionalism and Democracy) last Monday. Incidentally, I need to leave for that class right now. Kim gave me courage to post poetry in my journal by leading through example. (i.e. All the cool kids are doing it.)

Long Walks on the Beach Leave Footprints in the Sand )

psh, snapping. we've tried to ban it at MADhouse... which you are going to have to come to next year now that i know you can write stuff like this.

on another note, were you actually listening to the stars track when you were writing this? because the feel is very similar, and it amuses me how music can influence writing.

i'm going to pretend that you were complimenting me and not just trying to get me to come to madhouse, so thanks!

i listened to 'tonight' while i posted the poem. i was listening to folke's lecture on tocqueville when i first composed the poem. so um, i'm not sure what that says about music influencing writing except that, perhaps, folke's rambling feeds my ADHD.

Then again, who doesn't love question-answer, cause-effect, why-because poetry. It's just good stuff.

fry freely across the keys of the piano
?
I love the poem but this one phrase is driving me nuts, er, perhaps one word is driving me nuts: "FRY"
Ironically, I dont like to fry anything, especially my brain and food... but THAT word. It has done me in.
was it supposed to be "FLY"? that would make morse sense to me, but then again maybe there's something else going on here.
Wow, I get to inquire with a live poet! Ha!

Oh, and yes. *COMMENTS*
