You and me both, Wes. You and me both...

It stops there? This is just unacceptable cruelty, I demand a release!

Awesome work, come write more Giles fic again. ;)

;) Tantalizing isn't it? Could make an interesting back-drop for "Ripper" the TV series... (hint hint to Joss Whedon and ASH).

And thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed it.

Why you dirty rat! This is beyond cruel. I really, really hope there's more coming. I have so many questions and zero answers. This is wonderfully written and very intriguing. And have I mentioned that I'd like more?

Great work.

Thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed it.

I kind of like leaving a lot unanswered so people can let their imaginations run wild... :)

this was heartbreaking and yet so great - I can totally see Giles choosing such a dreadful calculus to survive! lovely writing and lovely idea!

Oh hell, just catching up with my SoG reading and this was all kinds of terrific and tantalising as hell. I do hope you decide to revisit, but even if you doesn't, this was still a wonderful glimpse of 'what if..'.

I especially liked "Tomorrow he’d compress his memories of the life and people he loved, along with his hopes and dreams, into as small a unit as he could. Then he’d swallow it all as if it were a jagged pill." Pragmatic Giles, who I am now picturing turning into the prison's 'Mr Big'.

Great stuff :)

Thanks so much for the feedback!

Giles is such an interesting character... the "what if's" with him really intrigue me.

Glad you enjoyed this too. :)
