considering we've just watched the first 5 minutes of "He's just not that into you", I find this:
He calls her whore, and all I can hear is 'I love you'.
somewhat ironic.

It isn't ironic, it's the truth. Whenever he calls her a whore, it comes out like 'I want you', sometimes like 'you are mine', most of the time like 'I love you'. You would understand if you'd ever watched this.. :P
