Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Americans!

Today's menu: Turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, and stuffing , check. At least a dozen pies, check. Manicotti or lasagna, check. Kielbasa rolls, check. The multicultural extended family with whom I will spend a delightfully chaotic Thanksgiving today is, well, a bit non-conformist, shall we say? ::grin::

Your post made me drool! I love the idea of a multi-cultural holiday. When I was younger we used to go to friends of the family for T-day. The woman was Chinese, the man Australian, and their guests ran the gamut. It was a culinary delight! Today will be more traditional, but still yummy. I made cranberry-orange bread that smells like it came out good. And there will be wine. Yay wine!

Have a wonderful time. *hugs*

Well, the Amazing Husband Man is planning to make a chocolate-orange-chocolate-chip bundt cake, because we're all chocoholics, to the point where our kids view pies with a sort of polite disinterest. Though I like pie. I'll probably have cake AND pie.

Must go to the gym tomorrow. Uh huh. Really. No, really.

Your feast sounds varied and yummy. Enjoy!!

When I was growing up, we always had cabbage rolls on the holidays. Believe me, the kind made by Polish grandmas are way better than anything you've ever eaten ever OMG. Hee. They still bring back great memories for me.

Plus, my mom always made green jello with green onion in it, made in ice cube trays. It was the family joke, although she didn't find it funny at all. :0)
