Yesterday's shipping fun!

I called FedEx to schedule a pickup of two heavy boxes. These boxes were being shipped back to the manufacturer, using the FedEx number of the people who sold them to us.

FedEx said that they could not schedule a pickup, because there was a problem with my account ( Read more... )

call fedex back and ask to speak to a manager. or the manager's manager. kick and fuss!

The manager was in a meeting. With hismanager. There was no one available higher up the food chain.

I took the boxes to the nearest Kinkos.

My company uses DHL. FedEx can bite my shiny metal ass.

i daresay that was crap, a tactic to get you to stop pushing. (me, i would have then asked for the boss' boss' boss, 'cuz that's just the kind of bitch i can be when someone tries to manipulate me like that) in which case i'd call them back during a different shift.

i totally respect the notion of not using fedex ever again, but it's worth pursuing/resolving just in case it shows up on your credit report or something.

I did ask for the boss' boss' boss. She gave me the phone number for corporate offices.
Which is all well and good, but I needed to get the fucking boxes shipped. Like, NOW.

Sounds like the UPS drivers who couldn't figure out how to cope with the intercom at the last place that dumped them into my answering machine...
