In addition to that, I know that my characters have not too much actual canon to work for them, so if you ever want me to clarify my actions for whatever reason or explain why I made a certain decision, please do not hesitate to ask. I LOVE talking about my guys and the bajillion years of headcanon I have come up with for them. :-D

ANYWAY. Stephen is great, especially with how little there actually is to go off in the comics. I could say exactly the same for Dulcie, actually. Although I have to add in a thanks for making me read Going Bovine because I really did love that book.

Okay...Dulcie I know less of, so I'll speak more about Stephen...
So I'm busily tracking down the Scott Pilgrim comics (What's up, interlibrary loan? How you doin'?) because I have been convinced (your fault) to read them. But, in the meantime, although I know the movie =/= comics, I still have to say that I love me some Stephen ;; A lot. Especially yours. (And maybe it's egotism--being inclined to panic attacks and worrying, I guess I sympathize and identify with him. But that's all an aside.)
Anyway, I love me some Stephen. I do. And I think you're doing brilliantly with him. Really, really! He's got his different sides, different aspects to him, stuff going on with him... I think it could be really easy to make him too "omgfreakout!!" all the time, if only because those instances are particularly memorable. But you haven't done this. But you've still kept that key aspect of his personality. And I think it makes him seem more realistic--while sort of nervous, neurotic, and a little panicky ( ... )
