This Whole Master/Police Plot Thing

I always designed stuff in the dinner plot with the idea in mind that it would give the PF something to do (poor dears) but I could also get the Master off, nearly scot-free. I didn't want to DESTROY his CR

The video of the Master eating remains was probable cause for the police to bring him in for questioning. Once they realized it would have to be by force, they arrested him (log still in process, no details yet) on murder charges. (Eating human flesh necessarily leads to assumption that he in fact killed to consume -- is there a way they'd be unable to prove he actually harmed any living thing

Seems correct to me. I'm so sorry for the...shakiness of all this. There is a good reason I don't write murder mysteries.

No need to apologize, it's more kinks we're working out. I'd rather have some shakiness and kind of work through to see what we can make easier/better for next time. Mostly we're just trying to figure out how to both make sure the Master's still playable for you (ie, not arrested and drugged forever) but also make the police do their weird job here.

It'll take some time but this kind of thing can only help! <3

Also we'll dump this here for FYI's:
--The Master is going to be held through the weekend, mildly sedated and fed and (as I understand it) with the Doctor present (assumed).
--The PD will sift through evidence, taking a little advantage of the fact that the Master won't/can't really lawyer up and go through a LOT of questioning with him

I'm quite alright with the police not having enough evidence to pin a case on him. Unfortunately, and though it would have been epic lulz to see Edgeworth face off against Priestly in a trial, he isn't going to prosecute the Master without enough evidence to prove a case. In the early games, he would have helped find even the most miniscule pieces of evidence to get charges to stick, but after the DL-6 incident was cleared, Miles took a very long vacation to sort out what it truly meant to be a prosecutor. He's come to the realization that the true purpose of any lawyer, defense or prosecution, is to find the truth. In Mr. Saxon's case, the truth is too vague to draw conclusions upon, and thus he will simply watch and see what unfolds.

Which is why I left it up in the air until I heard what you had planned :D I know he just stepped into the City, and while it would be awesome for Edge to have something normal to cling to, he can deal XD

It does make me want to plot SOMETHING he could prosecute, with sufficient evidence, but that's neither here nor there.
