I have been putting this off for a couple months, now. Not a happy making post, here and. Rrgh. It's really a pain in the ass for me to even force myself to admit that I'm going through with it, because I always said I'd always be around to corral and organize and try to make something out of this part of Poly.
But I've been failing way too hard on tags and things that I say I'll do, so. It's time to drop Beckett and break up with you guys. ;_;
This means a few things. I've spoken to Leah about handling the cops OOC/IC (Even if Leah is golden, Chris is rubbish at it, remember?), and having some help -- so if you're interested in helping in any manner, let her know either directly or here and I can pass it along.
I'm not dropping Poly entirely, so rest assured that if you have to do something with the comm that you can't get at because it was posted under Beckett's name or whatever, you can always PM the account and I'll help out however I can.
I have some options as far as what she would do upon leaving, but that means some OOC decisions by all of us on her part. You'll need someone to replace her as Chief, or at least some way to keep everything coherent; OR if you'd like something to deal with, you could play with the chaos of being left without a leader.
Regardless, I'm keeping her here for the next week to wrap up Aion's Pie!Raeg stuff, and to make sure that if she leaves directives behind, it'll be conducive to what everyone wants.
...I want to say that hopefully someday I'll bring her back, because the police was my favorite part of this game and it's really hard to release the reins, so to speak. If I can manage it a few months down the line, you might be seeing her again but in all honesty I think it's fairer if I stop half-assing and cut the cord.
