Oh, the usual-I'm not a very good group member. Got beaten about the head for an unpopular opinion (after trying to politely bow out of the conversation). Then people started gleefully tee-heeing about having no intention of trying to tag spoilers, etc.
I am rabidly spoiler free. I get that I am crazy and the occasional slip happens. But the glee people take in making no effort whatsoever is what drove me off tumblr and twitter.
Oh man, that must have been so annoying. Staying spoiler-free on tumblr is ridiculously difficult. (I don't do twitter, so I'm not sure how that works.) I'll remember to start tagging Castle spoilers on tumbr from now on, just in case you decide to come back.
I'm really sorry, Polly :( (I'm kalikaliankhen on Twitter and visionsofhotliness on tumblr and Freewheeler on ffnet - reader of your stuff) It is extremely difficult. I have accepted that I will become fully spoiled because it's impossible not to be on Twitter and tumblr. Some of our twitter friends manage to keep mostly spoiler free by staying in mentions when spoilers come out. But tumblr is completely impossible. During season I stay off Twitter and tumblr till I've seen the episode, and ignore the sneak peeks, spoilers and BTSs. Will you come back, when the pre-season rumpus dies down a bit?

Thanks. I doubt I'll come back. Spoilers are a big part of it, but I also just feel kind of soured on the fandom in general. I was kind of hoping that would fade, because there were a lot of things I enjoyed about hanging out on Twitter and tumblr and especially writing, but I just can't seem to shake the gloomy, frustrated feeling.
As the cliché goes, it's not "you" (the fandom-it's certainly not YOU, personally!), it's me. I just suck at fandoms.

You musta left pretty much right after airing your unpopular opinion!! LOL! I firmly planted my flag with my opinion ;p and still think we are completely tight! bwah hahahaha!!
I'm trying to remain spoiler free too but i think i'm less freaked than some other spoilerfree peeps. I get the conversations that people have when discussing what MIGHT be happening, but the LALALALALALALA childish flailing where people blurt out ALL THE DETAILS pisses me off. There's been so many sneak peeks and photos released lately that i'm having to check before venturing onto the TL, and i don't scroll back thru it just in case something happened previously, so i'm missing most people's goings on. I can't wait to get thru the first ep so people might calm down and let the show unfold.
hugs! i don't keep up on LJ much (it confuses me!) but i'm going to have to try to. Jenny (airbefore) is only on here now too. Very sad.

I love spoilers & am not ashamed to admit it, but I do try and remember to tag my posts (sometimes I get overexcited & forget) - but to be deliberate about it is petty. I'm sorry people are being such dicks.
Deb, thanks. Return unlikely as spoilers are only part of the problem. It's a bummer, because I miss lots of folks, you included, but I just kind of suck at fandom.
